Home Practise - Activities to do at home

“ On my own “ exercises

Practice with a balloon indoors or outdoors

  • Keep the balloon off the floor using your hands
  • Keep the balloon off the floor using the palms of your hands only
  • Keep the balloon off the floor using the front of your hands only
  • Keep the balloon off the floor using your hands and arms only
  • Keep the balloon off the floor using your legs and feet only
  • Keep the balloon off the floor using your head only
  • Keep the balloon off the floor using a combination of all the above.

Throwing and catching – using a wall outside

  • Throw with two hands
  • Throw with left hand only
  • Throw with right hand only
  • Catch with both hands
  • Catch with right hand only
  • Catch with left hand only
  • Bouncing the ball on the floor
  • Keeping a football/balloon/bean bag UP in the air using feet only

With a friend/brother or sister/mammy or daddy exercises

  • Throwing the ball back and forth to each other, catching the ball using your hands
  • Kicking the ball back and forth to each other –using the inside of your foot
  • Volleyball passing to each other
  • Rugby passing the ball to each other
  • Throwing & Catching – throw the ball low, medium and high and catching with left hand only , right hand only, both hands.
